I'm behind on updates so I'll try to tackle that now!
Engine is all back together, think all in all we had 4 days into it. Probably about 30 hours. 1 day was a full teardown and then 3 days of cleaning and putting it all back together. As of now the truck has about 1000 miles on the rebuild and has never ran better since new. The engine is so quiet and purrs like a kitten at idle. So glad I did this repair myself with a friend. I had a lot of great satisfaction in doing it and doing it right. I opted to replace more parts that needed while I was in there. I replaces all the timing parts including chains and guides. Added probably about $400 more to the parts list but it was worth it Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk ![]()

Long travel installation is done. I went with the Total Chaos Race Series 3.5. RCV Axles and King Shocks with compression adjusters. Still some fine tuning and in need of an alignment but I'm loving it so far..

After 10 years I felt like it was time to re-powdercoat my rear bumper..I removed everything and sent it to Melrose Metal Finishing in Oakland. Got everything back this week and I'm cleaning up the exposed areas and repainting the frame and sides under the bumper. I am also doing some maintenance on the on board shower system to get it back and functional.
