Default 4th Gen 4Runner 2.5 Lift + 285/70/17

Hello all newbie here.

Is it possible to run 285/70/17 (32.7") (KUMHO AT51) with an OME 2.5 lift?

On stock wheels?

Will this be enough lift?

Will I need hub spacers?

Thanks All

Try the search, there's lots of info here about those tire sizes.
You'll probably need the spacers to clear the UCA. That will make you rub on the fenders, so you'll need to trim and modify the wheel well a bit. There's several threads about this.

It's slightly different for every vehicle, even when running the exact same tires. Still, the information is pretty accurate. You'll most likely need to trim, and spacers will be needed unless you run aftermarket UCAs.
Bottom line: yes, it is quite possible to run those tires. Many here do so. The amount of trimming/ modifying will vary for each person though.

The answer is yes. But you will need 1.25" Spidertrax wheels spacers (WHS-007 is the part number if I remember correctly). Search my build thread as I ran 285/70/17 on my stock 17" sport wheels for 2 years with minimal trimming. I also took pics of the trimming and spacing once the wheel spacers were installed. They are definitely needed for clearance.

I had 285/70r17 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2's and it cleared with the 2.5" leveling kit, but I also did 3.5" rear springs and bulldog's body lift kit 1.5". Check out my gallery. I did not use spacers, the factory wheels had the correct offset.

Now I've got to ask, why do you think spacers aren't needed without aftermarket UCA's? When I was lifted initially before spacers and having the LR UCA's I was like a 1/4" from rubbing with my Kelly Sarfari TSR's. It wasn't till I added spacers that I had enough space.

I had the TRD beadlock style which needed spacers 1.5" and the current TRD Pro set did not need spacers both had different offsets.

Okay, my plain jane factory rims did need the spacers. Guess each setup could have different offsets.

To clarify...my stock wheels needed spacers to clear UCA's. But I am currently running 18x9 wheels with 0 offset and -4.5" backspacing with no spacers - clears UCA's just fine. Still...trimming is necessary for no rubbing.
