Default What is the best way to clean the fuel injection instake admision

Hello guys,

I have a 2007 Toyota PRADO KDJ 120GX 4 Cylinder 2.7 Gasoline with 41,000kms. When I am at a red light and begin to accelerate I feel a small surge and then the engine pick up normal.

I have experience the same issue in my other car (2002 Skoda Octavia) and cleaning the fuel injection admission were is the butterfly with a spray product for this, cure the issue.

I thing is the same issue in my Prado and I want to clean it in the same way I have done with my Skoda but the Prado is electronic throttle actuator/drive by wire system and there is no physical throttle wire that I can move in order to open the butterfly and clean it. Any ideas how to perform this job in this car?

I know there are some product that you connect to the admission with a thin plastic tube in order apply the product but I dont have any idea how to use them or were do I have to connect it. Any advise on how to do this? Is there is a step by step DYI or what product you recommend me to use?

Thank you for your time and help.

Isaac

Hey Union Jack, thx for the link.

I was checking a product that clean the throttle body thats comes with a thin long plastic tube to apply the product without the need of disassemble the throttle body. You need to keep the engine running when you apply the product.

So I was thinking on removing the rubber hose that goes attached to the throttle body to apply the product with the engine running.

Please check the video so you understand what I mean.

I would just spray and clean, then wipe all excess with cloth with the engine shut off.
