Default 2016 Tacoma - Chief engineer interview

Nice read - and an interesting yet conservative redesign

Interesting read. What I gleaned from the information is that the frame/chassis really hasn't undergone a huge transformation. We won't be seeing diesel for awhile. Tacoma owners are the bestest truck owners on the planet!

In essence, the tacoma's frame is lighter, the truck is designed for comfort.
The hilux fully boxed frame is tougher, stiffer, and the the truck is designed to be a work horse.
Last summer I was driving behind a hilux in Europe and it looks good, but it is quite narrow.

I do like the look of the new tacoma, I would consider buying one if I was looking for a vehicle.
I just picked up a 2011 4Runner, so I'll be out of the market for a while.
