I'm in the same boar as Fillmoreslim. I'm debating if the MT LT HD coils will work, but I'm running the Fox 2.5 tundra shocks, which measure 25.02 extended and 15.65 collapsed. The MT LT shocks run 28.5 extended and 17.5 collapsed. Would the MT LT HD Coils with CBI bumper still work? last thing i want is a spring popping out, etc.

Or would the Icons be a simplier solution?

I guess I'm now leaning towards the MetalTech LT HD coils over the ICON overlands. If I understood everything correctly both have the 300lb/in spring rate so if my valving is wrong it will be wrong for either. The LT's however are cheaper and will give me more travel should I choose to upgrade to the LT shocks.

Am I missing anything or do the LT shocks seem like the better fit for me?

Thanks again for all your help!
Get the coils put them in and see how they run for your application. You can always upgrade the rest later. It is not a lot of $$ for the coils, and they are not that hard to swap.

I just boughtthe Icon Overland coils. The MT HD LT coils sound too long without the LT shocks, thanks everyone!

Do you think it matters that the springs are longer? Will it put undue stress on the shock when it is fully extended?

Yes, you can over extend the shocks. Will it happen often and cause damage to the shocks? Hard to say, but certainly not an ideal situation. Limit straps can solve this though.

Default Heavier duty springs with the OW 2.5 kit

Digging up a kind of old thread here but I am in a similar situation. Running all pro 3.5 springsCbi rear bumper 34" spare, loaded usually 200-300 lbs of stuff. The all pros are too soft on the street looking for a bit stiffer but still flexy on the trails. What direction did people go with these springs? Not looking to lower the back, if anything ok with raising, I'm guessing that these all pros have sagged a bit over the years, currently have the ow extended travel 2.5" shocks

Quint, go with the Icon overland springs or CSS custom springs.

I did the All Pro 3.5 " don't forget to get longer SS brake lines too. You can look at my gallery to see how it looks with 2.5" front. The butt sticks up pretty high.

I ended up using the radflo 2.0 springs with day star spacers from my old kit on top.. Seems perfect to me..
