Default Does the TRD Pro come with a lift?

Saw a TRD Pro at a dealer, I know these comes with Fox shocks. The specs listed them as the same height as the others, but the one I saw looked like it was about 2" higher than the other 4Runners. Didn't look close to see if it was dealer fitted lift or if they are actually a bit lifted from the factory.

It was interesting to see, till I saw the price tag - holy cow these are pricey!!!

It's 2", JP is driving an Army Green TRDPro that I sold him when he traded in his Tundra TRDPro that I sold him in 2016. On our first shake down in The Mojave, even before airing down, he said it rode Way better than his 4th gen did, and that was with all of the Radflo suspension on it!
And yes, @ $7k over sticker, they can get up there! Come out to our Easter Mojave Road trip next month and take a ride in JP's TRDPro!!

It's 1" higher in front than any other spec 4Runner, more or less the same height in the rear other than the marginal difference due to the front being higher.

Ride wise, yeah, the Fox suspension is amazing due to the 11 zones or whatever of internal bypass. At low speeds and washboards the ride is soft. When you get into bigger bumps, like the whoops after Soda Lake on Mojave Rd, it manages the extremes of travel very well without bottoming the shock.

Eibach makes a custom set of springs for the Fox TRD Pro setup now, it provides 1.6" of lift over the already lifted factory setup up front and 1" in the rear which is more than enough to run 33s without needing to change out UCAs or any of that other nonsense since you're still within the under 3" total lift range where that becomes necessary.

As always, I'm a wealth of trivial information about the platform having owned one since October 2019 when Robert sold it to me.

Yes you are!! Now if we can just get Andries and his Car out there with us for Easter, he can take a ride with you to see how it rides! He'd never get an off road ride in NorKal!!

Good info.
Guess the $ is not what it used to be, thought it was crazy when I paid $40k back in 2002 for my V8 LTD. Was a great truck though.

A limited now is over $50k all on it's own. TRDPro is more, at least it's ready to hit the trails as soon as you leave the store!!!

Well, was able to pick one up at MSRP this week. In Lunar Rock without all the pricey add ons.

Almost 19 years since the last 4Runner I bought. Hope this one serves me well. It will have to be may DD, so can't do anything crazy. I do like that they come with AT tires and a slightly lift in the front, basically ready to go off-road from the dealer floor.

Now down the rabbit hole of mods. Probably just going to start with the Eibach coils and some sliders. Will then need to figure out how to mount a ham system at some point.

First impressions are that the Fox suspension does great job on road, handles great for what it is and rides very smooth. Interior is well done and feels pretty good, nothing fancy. Comes with proper floor liners for sand, mud, snow. It comes with standard wheel locks, which is nice sine the TRD wheels are likely pricey to replace. The infotainment system works pretty well once you get used to it.

I noticed they just slapped a steel spare on it with some Birdgestone street tires, would have been nice if they fitted the same as on the 4 corners. The exhaust is louder then I prefer, but I guess I will get used to it.

Overall feels very solid, I dare say it feels more solid that my 03 LTD felt when it was new - but my memory may just be playing tricks on me.

Great choice Andries. Love the "newer" colors.

Ceramic coating is the bomb. Doing mine as soon as I can.

Welcome back to the family - look forward to some trips with ya. Woohoo.

About Damn time Mate!!! Your ass didn't bother to call me though, what's up with that?!

Doesn't matter though, we're sold out of all 4Runner's and couldn't do msrp even on a regular TRD Off Road right now!!

BTW, who in Kal is crazy enough to sell one @ sticker? They're $10-15k Over sticker all over the state!!!

Yeah they seem to mark them up quite a bit these days. Which is crazy for base design that is almost 20 years old.

i was thinking the same but when you adjust for inflation, $40 in 2002 is $58,964 in todays dollars
