UPDATE #1:

Delivery time is different for each product and a guarantee is difficult because itís more dependent on how quickly our laser cutter can get us the parts. That said, let me know what yall are looking to get and Iíll let you know about how long it will be. For the most part, bumpers run 12 weeks and sliders run 6.

10+ products, bumpers or sliders, would be great. Iíll give yall 10% and some free t-shirts. Thanks

Mark

I'm very excited about this. It's more that a bit scary too, but we WILL without a doubt be able to drop lead times a lot. New products will come out much quicker and easier....which will mean more new products we probably wouldn't have bothered with before. We will be able to accommodate more custom requests, and we will be able to do rush orders for those who need something really fast (like 2-3 weeks tops) and are willing to pay for a little overtime to make it happen.

Most of all we will have control to make things happen for our customers w/o being dependent on outside suppliers....finally! All of it should be up and running by the end of January.

I should be able to commit to 6 weeks MAX for sliders and 12 weeks MAX for bumpers. Let's wait and see what all you guys decide you want, then when you are ready to order, I'll look it all over and make you a firm commitment. If we don't hit it, I'll give you an additional 10% off. How that for putting your money where you mouth is?
Update #3:
Ok, I've gotten plenty of PMs from members wanting to put in there order and I got a hold of Mark from SW and here is his response

We can do half up front and half when the order is filled. If you buy 16 products Iíll give you 12% off. Thanks a lot

donít really want to let this drag out that long. Iíd like to make 12/31 the deadline for everybody else. I was originally thinking 12/23, but 12/31 will work.

Thanks for the input though.

Haha +1

Perkins also has a group buy going on for bumpers which are cheaper and he is guaranteeing delivery dates.

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that crackers is still saying bumpers take 12 weeks! Only like 1 bumper have been delivered in that time frame everyone else waits 6-9 months. What a freaking joke. I say support another company which has shown true customer service like Perkins, screw SW!

And that's how I really feel

How about asking SW to post here his expectations on delivery dates. Every other manufacturer is willoing to take the time to post here and goodness knows 120 has been a good source of promotion for SW with no need for them to pay sponsorship fees etc. We all paid top dollar for this bumper and despite some bumps along the road I still believe that the SW is the standard. If they would just give a little confidence back into the market they would be far more successful winning over business. I would really like to see them succeed as a quality supplier for the 4th and 5th gen but they need to step up to the plate before a group buy was justified IMO.

Expat,

Exactly it, people with such terrible business sense do not deserve support. Also, with all the new options coming out there's no way they stay on top for long if they stay the course.

I like my SW bumper but it seems there are other nice options now. Demello's looks promising and I'm sure the quality will be on par with SW or even better.

I received great customer service from Schrockworks, way back in '07 I wanted my sliders before my trip to the Expedition Trophy. They delivered a week early and were great to work with. Just because they take a long to deliver (sometimes) does not mean they have terrible business practices. Clearly, the make quality products and with great design.

All their bumpers, sliders, everything looks as good if not better than anything else on the market. ARBs look huge, others are WAY later to the market.

Sure, they could deliver more quickly but maybe that's not their business focus. They aren't missing on quality or design and those are two VERY important characteristics.

I debated on the SW bumper for a long time, I have their sliders and they are well made. The sliders took 24+ weeks to deliver, I got every kind of story you could imagine from SW when they actually did respond to me, laser cutter problems, they were waiting for materials(square stock and tube, really) powdercoater delay, new warehouse etc. etc. etc. the thing that burns me is that they take all your money first and then they make you wait and wait and when you call for progress reports you get this bs, Iwas told one more week for about 8 weeks straight. Personally I feel that this is poor business practice and am relieved that there are more options out there. SW just wants your money and obviously does not care too much about customer relations.

To the OP, don't let this all discourage your group buy. I was well aware of the wait times from forum members, but I still went with them, i just didn't believe it could take 6 months. At that time, my only other option was the ARB or custom. Hind sight, I would have gone with another option.

Guys this is a group buy thread, so let's keep it on topic.

There is a SW vendor feedback thread, where the feedback and comments can be posted.
