Default 06 GX 470 ARB bumper

Hello all
I have trolled here for quite some time and I love the forum!

I recently hit a deer with my 2006 GX. I would like to put an ARB bumper on the truck and I was wondering which bumper is the best fit? I also will have the body shop do this work as well as the other repairs and need the bumper fast.

Thanks for any help you can offer

Well ARB is right. This does not fit right up. But it only requires a small amount of cutting. And it sure would be nice if the fellas at ARB were just a bit more polite when it comes to answering questions regarding install of the bumper that supposedly doesn't fit and isn't sold for the vehicle but the sticker on the bumper says it fits GX-470 with flares.

So me and the neighbor(the body guy) spent a few evenings getting this fitment correct it turned out great Thanks to Chantilly Auto Body and Anton for getting this done with only 400$ in out of pocket expense.

I will post up pictures when I get home today.

ARB, Iron Man 4x4 both fit with trimming.

Southern Style Speed shop is offering a bumper that doesn't require trimming, but I don't think he is in production yet. Look him up (he is also on ih8mud).

I am planning on tackling the rear bumper fabrication myself with the help of a friend. Any body know if there is a rear gate tire rack that fits with minor modification?

The GX doesn't have the bracing the Prado door has. Won't support a spare. You would have to swap to a Prado door or come up with some internal reinforcement. I went with a tire carrier on the bumper.

he is now. taking 40% deposit on a first run of 3. i've got to get my suspension done first to support the weight of the bumper.

Looks great! How about Carbon Fiber Hydro Graphics on wheels? Does anyone have personal experience with it? Just wanted to know the pros and cons.

I think around 160 lbs without winch, lights, mounting brackets.
