Default 4Runner II

I was going to call it 4Runner Jr., but seeing as it's a higher trim package than the last 4Runner I think "the Second" is a more appropriate title. Time to do it all again!

It's a 2007 Limited v8 4x4 with all the goodies. It looks like any other 4Runner, but here's some picts none the less. It sure is shiney, and you have to love the inverted CV angles.

Nice ride Mike. What's first on your mod list? Looks like a lot of fun.

Well, I swapped the Husky Liners over (except the cargo area one, which was pinned in the back of the old truck), but as for the rest, at this time I'm going to be working with my insurance (and attorney if necessary) to get compensated for all my old mods and start again with new parts.

First mod is already ordered - a Toyota120.com sticker!

I have my Garmin for real gps duties, but the factory nav is pretty cool, and my wife loves it because it's the same as in her Tundra (plus I never let her use my Garmin ).

Forgot the gratuitous engine bay shot. Damn thing looks brand new.

No more stock pictures, I promise.

My ultimate plan is to recreate pretty much part-for-part what I had before, although this time I will probably do the Radflo suspension. All I hadn't got to in my last build was a winch and a dual battery setup, so I'll be sure to get those into the new truck. The timing of everything is pending the outcome of the insurance settlement.

Robert, I plan to be there as long as I have new tires by next easter. These street tires wouldn't get me through Mojave I don't think.

Running boards removed and T120.com sticker applied. I think it looks so much better without the running boards, and now I can stop dragging the back of my legs on them every day. That sticker was good for 2" of suspension travel and about 25 hp, too.

I got around to throwing the Magnaflow back on the truck over the holidays. I tucked that tail pipe section up as high and tight as I could get it without it melting the plastic lower quarter panel. It's great to be able to hear my v8 again.

I remember when I bought the kit for the '04 it came with two forward-most lenghts of exhaust pipe - a short one and a long one. My '04 used the long one, and I kept that short one up until we moved last year, then threw it out. Well of course the '05-'09 models with the upgraded exhaust use that shorter section that I threw out, so I had to take a hack-saw to the piece I had and remove a few inches from the end that slips into the muffler. As you can see below, the front exhaust hanger doesn't line up as a result, so I'll be stopping by a muffler shop one of these afternoons to get that hanger cut off the pipe and rewelded to line up with the hanger on the frame.
