So I guess the thing to do is start a build thread to see the evolution of or vehicles.... Well mine has come a long way and Ill do my best to have a nice thread. I tried hard but could not fine any bone stock pics, but I really wasnt into this stuff yet. I bought my truck used in June of 2006. Its an 05' V6 Sport 4x4.

I was going to get a brand new one ( 2006 ) but my buddy at Roseville Toyota saved me 10K by getting a one year old ride, so thats what I got.

New meats.... 265/70/17 TOYO MT with no lift

Decided to get rid of the running boards

Started looking online and found yotatech.com........ decided to get a 2.5" daystar spacer lift and new rims and bigger tires....TOYO MT 285/75/17. Rubbed like hell!!! Found out that I needed to trim like hell!!! I could barely turn. I trimmed like hell and got the body mount chop by a buddy of mine. Was running 33.8" MT with only 2.5" spacer lift. After cuts, not much rubbing at all.

I really wanted more lift so I got the RB 1.5" body lift. And took it to get dirty.

That still wasnt good enough!! So I got SAW 2.0's for the front and OME 895, Icon mono tubes for the rear + 1.5" spacer. And went to 35" Procomp Xtreme MT's...Yeah Buddy!!!

HID Conversion to 8000k and Fog light MOD

New muffler and I cut the rear resonator and had the muffler installed much higher for better clearance. Had the pipe cut right over the frame and chrome tip reinstalled .

Truck bed liner'd the frame

SIRIUS Radio/ IPOD interface/ Bluetooth

Old Thule roof Rack..... Sold it and got the Rola

New Rola Rack/w extension and extra mounting cross bar.

3ft Firestik antenna (not screwed in though) with spring mounted to roof rack.

Shrockworks Bumper

Smitybuilt XRC 10 Winch with synthetic line

XRC Competition series Aluminum fairlead

Sway bar taken off and tested.....A while back, out of order sorry

Led interior mod

LF 140 lance on the roof with the FJ oem roof light switch

Removed the rear tire pulley

Demello Bolt ons

chopped rear crossmember

Some early pics... we should be done next week with the plating and the tire swingout.... this thing is rock solid and a kick ass departure!!!

Almost done... Primered...Still got some finishing touches. Gonna have a tube on the sides (in an arc, where gap is, and LED square lights uner tails for)

Added some pics of the lights and the new firestik location.... now I ican roll with the firestiki on all the time! Havin it up top was just way too tall for me.

Phil,you may want to put something on the firestik to dampen it.Unless you like it whipping the side your truck.

i did some testing on the whipping... I have a HD spring on there and its gonna take some force to get it to whip the side of the truck... needs to be hit from the side. Should b fine, but ill know when i go wheelin..

Oh... did u ground ur antenna that u put on ur roof rack?

Looking good dude! Don't like the antenna position tho. Branches will grab it and swing it around possibly bending or tearing off the mount too. I'd agree with looking at putting a ball on it at least. I also think your going to find comm's will be pretty ineffective there because the body will shield (and reflect) wave signals from it. Your ground plane is best being a horizontal metal surface with equal surface in all directions.

No,i didn't.When i had my SWR checked the guy said,i didn't need to.I may move the firestik to the front bumper like Mark and Andries did once my bumper ever gets here.Btw they drilled holes in there SW bumpers to mount there antennas.
