Not sure how many people still check, but I have not updated this in way too long. Today I installed my new fridge (ARB Zero 63) and drawers that I built. Still need to make my wings and filler pieces for the drawers, but almost there!

Looking good Blair. I cruze by a few times a week. Did you make the tilting fridge slide also?
I like your tray shelf in the bottom of the drawer.
What locking slides did you use?

That's pretty bad ass Blair! I need to someday do that to my134Runner, never got around to setting up my034Runner like that.

Now that you have that all set up, you need to bring it out with you to out 16th annual Easter Mojave Road trip!! You and Mo can compare y'all's drop fridge sliders!

I didn't make the tilting fridge slide, I bought it from DFG Offroad. I can't speak to using it much, but I can say the quality seems great.

One thing to note is with how I have the slide mounted you don't fully take advantage of the tilt feature the way it was designed. Normally you just push the fridge in and gravity tilts it down, but to do that you need a few extra inches of clearance above the fridge. Where I have it I need to lift as I push it back in or it will run into the top of the door opening. I went back and forth with design but this way allowed me to mount the fridge an additional 4-5" towards the passenger side (you can see the top extends beyond the box on that side) and that necessitated a higher drawer setup to do so. All and all this is pretty much the biggest drawer/fridge setup you can fit in a 4th gen 4Runner and I only have above a half inch clearance when all is said and done.

The main fridge slides I used were 36" ones from Orr & Orr (a pair of 500lbs locking and a pair of 500lbs non-locking). I had great luck with their slides previously on my old drawer setup. The table/tray shelf is using 22" soft close slides from Home Depot.

I am glad I finally tackled it! It will be really nice to have. Nothing was hard about building them, but it was definitely time consuming.

I don't have a table saw, so the part I was most nervous about was cutting everything square and accurate. A Kreg "accucut" was definitely worth its weight in gold.

I wish I could make the trip, but I am not thinking I will be able to. We have a 7 month old at home now, so that makes planning a longer trip a little difficult right now.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I feel pretty good about how everything came out, just can't wait to finish out the wings and filler plates for the end.

Looks good Blair! Recently built a sleeping platform and pull out shelf with some cargo space underneath myself and love it. So handy to have. Where did you get the Scepter fuel cans ?

I actually bought them from Amazon Canada about six years ago. May always be worth checking out amazon/ebay etc.. from other countries that ship to the US

I never thought of Amazon.CA before. Anyway, checked and found out they are Not selling the Scepter military fuel cans any longer, just the water.

I bought a couple new ones on Ebay a few months ago, about $100 each.
