Default Ouray 2011 FJ Summit

We are here and it's good to be back in this beautiful town. I'll post pics and details of the trail runs as time rolls on.

Default Heading up to Poughkeepsie Gulch.

Our first day trail run was Thursday morning. We met bright and early, 6:30, and we were on the go by 6:45. 8 FJ's and the Elephant headed off to do one of the toughest runs up here. It's a red. It was going to be fun.

I'll work on more posts and give a time line and some of our comments about the trail and the people we wheeled with. The FJ Summit folks are first class and good natured. A harsh word was never spoken. But for now...and not to be a tease, we just don't have much time to sit in front of the Mac. We're staying at the Wiesbaden in Ouray Colorado. In 2000 we were married here and adore this little hideaway. http://www.wiesbadenhotsprings.com/

In this shot we had just started Poughkeepsie Gulch.

The views were....awesome.

Posing Dog.

I really wanted to get in on this since I bought my OME lift from Chris @ TRDparts4u several weeks before this. They did a caravan from Dallas to Colorado, but work wouldn't allow for it. Maybe next year...

Were you the only 4Runner?

We are home! I'll get some more pics up asap. We were not the only runner. There were a hand full of us this year and it sounds like there will be more next year.

Wow, I've never seen a sign recommending a winch and lockers, that's pretty cool!
