Default 4Runner Wiring Diagram

Here is a link for the wiring diagrams of the 2003 4Runner. Later models will have some small changes, but shouldn't vary dramatically.

I'm looking for the wiring diagram for the downhill assist switch.

Under the VSC section I can find the switch but the only wires it shows are WG and WB which are ground, but there are actually 4 wires on the DAC switch. Where can I find out what the other wires are?

Thanks
Mark

Can't recall of the top of my head where to get the switch pinouts. However the other 2 wires should be for the light in the switch, so it is illuminated when you turn on the headlights.

Yeah I worked that out, but wanted to know what each wire (by color) was so I could trace them.

Page 55 shows Part G, "Connector Joining Wire Harness and Wire Harness".

Page 58 shows a color wiring diagram for "Power Source".

Aside from that, I don't know.

ETA: I should mention that the only reason I caught this was because I went through the files above and combined them into one document so I could print a copy. It was then I noticed those pages missing. I wasn't looking for a particular item.

Yeah, sorry having some issues with my hosting company. Seems like the bandwidth was exceeded significantly lately and they kicked me off. Time to look for other options. SHould have it sorted soon.

i think i might have found the wire, but can someone confirm?

it's a red wire with yellow stripe, located in the driver's foot well.

That should be it. I used it to trigger my reverse lights, thanks to this thread. http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18372
