How did you mount the front plate over the fairlead.. looks like you're using wing nuts.

It is the 4th generation 4Runner model.

Thanks. How would I mount it since mine car has the factory cross rails? Or would I have to take them off?

these racks are super easy to install
to me all of 45min to remove the factory "rack" and install the BajaRack

are those BajaRack mounts too for your gear??

Thanks for the advice. Is there anyway I could mount them using some of the mounting brackets that would fit with another BajaRack that fits onto your factory cross rails, like the megamule ones for instance?

The bajarack's are really nice I have had my mule rack on my crossbars for awhile now and only problem I had is the crossbar ends getting loose but that can be easily fixed with shims.

Do you like the size of the mule or do you wish you had got the megamule? I have a sunroof so i cant decide which size to get.

I looked at all 3 models but for my needs the mule is perfect. I can put a nice amount of gear 2 fuel cans 2 water cans and my hi lift & shovel with no problem with weight issues.
