Robert - and everyone else - thanks for letting a lowly Tacoma to ride along with some of the nicest expo rigs I've seen.

No no that duct tape is on the front. The rear duct tape went away when he installed your bumper

Dave showed up with his SAS'd monster. Bad ass!

1) What's the story with the red truck in the beginning?

2) Who brought the cops?

We found it like that, abandoned, about 25 yds beyond a huge washout in the road. Probably traveling at a high rate of speed, hit the washout, bounced hard enough to basically rip out the entire front suspension and then nosed into the embankment. Airbags deployed, no one in sight.

It was your basic government sponsored 'welfare' check. They wanted us to show them our papers, i.e. NPS permit.

looks like a great fun trip.

Is that Crozhawk's runner?

What brought the ranger? She looks a little mad.

I see..

Sorry must have missed the previous post.

Was not sure if it was his Runner since it had Marlin stickers and different wheels and tires from his latest pics he posted.

Talking 5th Annual Toy120 Mojave Road trip!!!

Another Epic and successful Mojave Road trip!!!! There was some carnage, but nothing like what we had on our NVTTORA Easter Mojave trip!!

I ended up messing up my back hatch window, and later on when leaving....discovered that it wouldn't latch down all the way.....drove all the way home with the door open light on......

Yesterday, Paul figured that he wouldn't let me be the only one to destroy a set of Bud Builts on the Mojave Road!!!!!

Tne Carnage of the day belonged to someone with Arizona plates, who decided to total out their Dodge 2500 Cummings!!!!! After leaving Paiute Creek, we got down to the power line road, on our way up Paiute mountain, and shortly thereafter, came across the Dodge.
He had evidently hit the Big washout wayyyyy too fast and hard.......destroyed the entire front end on impact.....and slid uncontrolled into a 3 or 4 foot berm on the opposite side of the road........and abandoned it!!! I call the NPS ranger to report it, and gave him the plate #.....but, because it was actually on BLM land, they reported it top them, and they took care of it.

Then, there is the Adams Family we encountered on the Mojave Road on Friday....
First.....on the way up to Fort Paiute.........then, back on the Mojave Road in the Lanfair Vally, on our way to camp in the New York Mountains. They were basically stopped on the road.......moving cactus from the road....on at a time!!!!! Pieces o Cholla that always falls, little pieces........

Anyway....the Enforcer went out and almost got into a fight, but they finally moved, and weren't very nice about it either......

But, even after the side trips to the Paiute Gorge, and the Mojave Petroglyphs....and the cactus cleaners.......we finally got up to my favorite camp spot in Caruthers Canyon......Early!!!! Figure that one out!!!

Got camp set up.......had a group dinner.......Sid got the fire going.......and the the alcohol started flowing!!!! It actually got flowing a bit earlier!!!!

I was expecting my friend Rich from work to show up, so Larry and Matt had their handhelds out so we could hear him when he finally got within range. He was about two hours late.....but he finally made it....and we hung out a while longer before calling it a night....seeing as we had to get moving in a few hours.....got to bed around 2:00 AM........set my phone to go off @ 6:30 AM.......

Anyway.....more to follow.......

Sounds like it was a great trip. Robert are you slowly trying to kill your truck so you have an excuse to get a shinny new trail edition hahahaha. Looks like you ran into Mike out there (LTed dark red 3rd gen Taco) What was he up to? Man the carnage to that Ram looks like it was a painful abrupt ride and end..... ouch! Surprised there isn't traces of blood anywhere inside the truck. Also for the record, I hate BLM agents.

Was that totaled Dodge on Power Line Road itself? I'm wondering if it is the same wash out I hit on Easter...

Would think not since you survived it, or maybe the ram hit it harder than you did.
