Its been a slow and steady build but its finally starting to look like a real 4runner.

Looks good! Welcome!

One thing Ive never understood is if people have the plastic cladding, why dont they make it darker? Like Plasti-Dip it or Line-X it.

Either way, your rig looks nice!

Go 35s

EDIT: Do you have pictures of the Hella driving lighs in day time?

I debated messing with the plastic but decided against it because people kept telling me how good it looked in person and i didnt want to mess with trying to keep the line-x clean. Plus the shrockworks stuff is all available powdercoated in the exact same color as the plastic. I got the sliders on and they match perfect. I may go 35's in the future when these tires are worn but i would have to do a body lift and i'm not a fan of the gap it creates. I'm building the truck for ExPo type stuff so i think 35's would kinda be overkill and suck even more gas than it already does. We'll see though... I may be able to be convinced

I need to get updated pics.. I'll take some tomorrow and post them up if I have time.

Sweet!! Thanks man!

When I bought my 4R I actually debated getting a 04 for the plastic cladding but then I looked at also getting the 06 for the projectors and then I got the offer for this 05 so I took that.

If you want expo, stick with 31s or 33s. WAY better gas mileage. Also stick with AT.

Build looks great man!

Alright here are some pictures from today. I got the sliders on. They are awesome. I do wish they extended half an inch or so beyond where they are now. Overall they are great and finally provide some needed protection. finally, i'm not worried about beating my doors to death.

While i was installing the sliders i noticed the holes from the factory steps. I had some extra work lamps in the garage and used one of the bolt holes from the original steps for some rock/area lights. The lights are 55w hella work lamps from summit and are $8 each. I used a spare hella wiring harness that i had in my garage and wired them up. The whole setup probably cost less than 30 dollars in materials and it was easy to install.

The work lamps screw into the original holes. No drilling required.

Went on a little trip this weekend to Oklahoma.

I can't wait for Gobi to finish up their ladder so I can get some junk off the roof!

Thanks! my tires are 285/70 R17 BFG All Terrain T/A. They have been a little tough to balance but they have served me well.

They work great and didn't take long at all. I'm not to sure how they will hold up to water crossings yet. Worst comes to worst I spend 8 dollars and 5 minutes and replace the light. I'm good with that.

Are those the D or E rated BFG's and why did you decide on one over the other?

Thanks

They are E rated tires. Honestly when I got them I just went to Discount Tire and said I wanted BFG's for my 4runner and that's what they gave me.
