Other have built threads for their rigs so I thought I should jump on the band wagon. Here she is in her present shape, out at Eglin AFB with the FJCruiser Folks! I wonder if I will ever be up for rig of the month? LOL!

So...the early days........I am the original owner, here she is stock.

Added a Thule Playpen for a while. Now used it for extra storage etc.

Ah Mt biking. Had a rack setup like this for a few years. Thought it was great, what a bitch to get up there and mount a bike though! Watch out for low hanging garages though!

Added a new/different and better styled stone sheild.

Added a Motorola Bluetooth kit for my phone. Great kit, works really nice.

Added XM Radio, chose the Terk kit and did the install myself.

Then came a lift. I went with a 4" front, 3.5" rear spacer lift.

This shot was pre alignment, think I needed one?

Then came tires. 265/70/17 Revo's. In retrospect, I should have gon bigger but they gave me 50k miles of GREAT service.

She stayed pretty much this way for some time. I lived in northern CA and she did not get much wheeling in there. Then I moved to North Florida....and the saga continues.......

To get caught up to date...........recently I went from 265/70/17 Revo's to 285/70/17 Revo's. Here are back-to-back shots the day I put the tires on.

I also changed out my bike rack some time ago. I cannot stress enough to those cyclists here, this is THE BEST RACK EVER! It was made my Sportworks, and the design was bought by Thule. It is the easiest, most secure.....best bike rack I have every used. Gas mileage went WAY up when I have bikes on relative to the roof rack. That is to say it now does not drop at all when I add bikes, where as with the roof rack the drop was significant.

Very recently changed......I removed the XM Radio and the Motorola Bluetooth kit in favor of a Kenwood DNX7100 with Bluetooth and XM included. Plus I can connect my iPod to it and get traffic updates loaded right into my Navigation. That Navigation is Garmin, because the Kenwood unit essentially has the Garmin Street Pilot software in it as its Nav. Also, I have a Shrock bumper coming, OME Suspension, Lightforce Blitz 240 lights, my old trusty WARN xd9000 winch & Braided Stainless brake lines..........and future mods should also include a CBI bumper, and many more I am sure. Does it ever end? Pictures will soon follow.

As is noted in my signature I also have a K&N FIPK, Magnaflow Exhaust, & SpiderTrax Spacers at this point. The spacers were added when I jumped to 285's Does it rub (after trimming the ft fenders liners) with stock wheels/285's and this lift. Only on the back edge of the passenger side of the bumper...when not wheeling. Tweaked, it rubs. Going slow is not a problem when rubbing. Were I to hit something at speed and bottom the suspension the bumper would get hurt.

Duc thanks for the pic of your Runner. I too have 285's but with 18' wheels; so they're 285/60/18. I added spidertrax 1.25' spacers and only rub the inside mud flap when in reverse with full turn in either direction. Don't want to clutter your gallery with blah blah blah so with that said....cheers

Thanks. Mine started life as a Rush 3, but I had the shop swap parts etc before I bought it. Stock Rush 3's weigh 31 lbs on the shops scale. Mine, with a Garmin 305 and pedals on it was 24.5lbs! It is a dream to ride!

Back to topic. Pics of the XM and GPS stuff will come in the next day or 2.

Quickie update. OME is in, love it. The ride on a V8 without the bumpers or anything is firmer, but not bad at all. The back side of speed bumps is the one place it feels harsh. IT rides MUCH better than my spacer lift did before it. Even the G/F says so from the first moment. On smooth road, rough roads, wavy freeways, everything it is MUCH better. Other than that it feels like an X5 I have ridden in, in terms of handling/firmness. It is taller though. Come back here for measurements later today.

And today my Shrock arrived!!!!! Now to do the install. I have to wait until sat though, and don’t think that wont kill me! I may put the lights in etc during the evenings to get a head start. No winch yet, still waiting for that to come in. Hope it is not too hard to put in after the bumper is on?

Sorry these two are cell phone pics, better ones to come soon.

CBI makes a mean bumper! How much weight will the rear receiver hitch on the CBI handle?

Now I am also running Dual Battery's and an ARB Fridge.

It also makes a great camping rig. I want to get a highlift to support the spare tire carrier when it is left open like this. I like leaving it open when I am camped for the evening, great place for a trash bag, camp lights etc. The highlift will be even more critical when I have my Scepter MWC mounted in addition to the tire carrier. I am putting a petcock on the MWC so if you need water you just open it and pour, no removing the 5 gal can of water to try to pour it into a pot to cook!

Nice pic.

Do you need to support the arm while hanging open? Most swingouts are plenty buff and don't need any support.

Nope you do not need it, but it is nice to have. I will get a highlift for that reason. It is just smart. I have never had any issues though. I will say, becuase of the design of our rigs the bumper does more up right behind the passenger rear tire when you open the tire carrier. There is nothing that can be done about it as there is no way to brace that part any better than it already is by CBI, and it does not hurt or touch anything. I just woudl ratehr have it be supported.

As for the cargo drawers, I just posted in the cargo drawer thread, I would love a set of those but do not have them.
