Default ? about tires

Hi there, im about to trade my 265/70-17 AT for some 285/75-17 bf goodrich km2 tires for my 07 4runner. Is that size little too big? i have the revtek lift and they say that i could install up to 285/75. but i notice allot people have 285/70, i dont want to loose a good deal on those tires.

If your Revtek lift is close to 3", you'll be OK. You will rub with the 285's, on the mudflaps and the lower corners of the front bumper. Minor trimming will solve that problem. Just read through the threads here and see what others have done.

The 285/75/17 is a 34" tire so you'll have to do some trimming/pounding to fit it. That being said it will work, you just have to add some labor to the fit

Most likely going to need some aggressive trimming and a body mount chop. With my 285/70's and 4" lift I had quite a bit of trimming and am very close to the body mount, any taller and the chop is definitely a must.

As mentioned, they will fit with some work. Mark (Expat) ran 34s for a long time.
