Kids are way more resilient than doctors give them credit. I'll go on record right now and say he will not be in a wheel chair the rest of his life. I've seen kids that were told they'd never walk again playing soccer a few years later.

Thank you guys again very much! since my last update nothing has really improved. it will be a long road ahead til they even start on a recovery. he just has a huge surgery last week and although it went well were still not out of the woods. it looks like he will continue to be in the ICU at stanford for at least another couple months
