I got the suction cup mount and stuck it to the plastic trim on the right hand side of the radio then wired a new 12 power plug under the dash on the passangers side. So i could run the power wire into the glove box out the bottom of the box and plug it in you only see 6inches of the wire where it goes for the glove box to the unit.

I also got a preloaded 2Gig card with north american road navigator or some thing like that. It was 100$ from tigergps.com Its pretty good but you might want to call Garmin I bet there will be a newer version out soon. You may want to wait. This way you can save your other sd card for topo.

I will try to post some pictures of the install when I get home tonight. I think it keeps everything very clean. I hate having wires running everywhere. I want the inside of truck to look as stock a possible and have all the extras I want.

Topo software and National Parks 24K topo software from Garmin

I use it on my model 60C too.

I use a Ram mount for my 60 Csx. I just have a hard time seeing the stupid screen, it's too small! Other than that, it's a great unit.

I wished I would have got the 276 instead though, nice big screen, easy to see.

Maby try some Glasses I didnt think you were that old. J/K
It is pretty small but I dont think I would want to carry anything much bigger around when your not in the truck. Its a good compromise. I like the screen at night its pretty easy to see then.

Eventually it is nice to have both even though a 276 can be carried around it is a little heavy and cannot use ordinary alkalines. The large screen is really easy on the eyes...
