Replacing Tacoma switch lights by Chris Tacoma

I tried to get to the switch through the little change holder and my hands must be too big. I decided to take apart the dash a little to get to the switch a litle easier.

Here are some of the steps I took to do so. I also took some pictures. This might help someone one day.

First I took the foot rest off. It pulls off easily

After that I loosened and removed the black holder, just turn counter clockwise

Then I removed the plastic by the seat.

Then remove the plastic side panel. Just pull towards you.

There was a tray type holder on the right that I just pulled out. It's also held in with clips

I then loosened two bolts. I used a 10mm socket to do so.

After I removed the bolts I just pulled the lower part of the dahboard off to get better access to the switch.

I loosend the two screws above the instument panel and then I pulled part of the dash to give me more room.

I removed the switch by pressing on the bottom of it. It's held in by the top and bottom.

Then I removed the bulb. Like earlier stated it is the brown circle. It looks like it is one peice.
